He is current the highest run scorer for Bangladesh in international cricket including test machhes, ODIs and T20 international .He is second Bangladeshi cricket to seore 3,000 runs in tests and 5,000 runs in ODIs and also the first Bangladeshi cricket to go past 1,000 runs T20I

 Tamim is arguably the best batsman in Bangladesh.Tamim made his one dey international dedut in 2017 and player his first test the following . A left handed opening batsman , he is the Bangladeshi's most successful runscorer to date. Considered as the best ever opening batsman for Bangladesh, Tamim has set up centuries in all three formats of the game and is also the first Bangladeshi to score 10,000 international runs.2
 He married Ayesha Siddiqa in June 2013 with a grand ceremony held at Chittagong. Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was also present at the event.
